Lost Creek
About the Project:
In this project, located in the Lost Creek neighborhood, the ACE team tackled what started as a sand + finish and ended with a foundation and water repair! After meeting with the client, whom we have worked with in the past, we decided to continue with the original stain of the floor.
When approaching the project, the client was concerned about water damage in some of the areas. When it comes to water damage, it is important to act as fast as possible. Water damage left untreated can become a bigger hazard. Mold growth, bacteria, and viruses can fester in damp conditions. So, the most important step in water remediation is to stop the water source and remove the water!
After dehumidifying the foundation, the cracked cement was resealed before replacing the damaged boards. Sanding and finishing was done to match the 21-year-old floor. Finally, a new color was chosen to finish out the project!
A word from the client:
“Ace did a fabulous job on our entire downstairs. This project involved extensive water remediation in 2 separate areas, sub floor needed to be removed and replaced, concrete needed to be sealed and new flooring “patch” matched perfectly. We changed to stain with a lighter finish and this updated our 21 year old flooring. Manny was great to get us boards with new stain options and project was done on time and any change from original quote was explained upfront by Mark, the owner. Ace originally installed these hardwood floors during house construction and so satisfied with them. Do yourself a favor and choose a full service Hardwood Floor company, definitely worth the cost.”
